We are a small fine dining restaurant situated in the heart of Bideford in North Devon serving fine British food along with great service and a warming atmosphere. All our food is prepared fresh each day using the best locally sourced produce we can find with dishes changing weekly. Number Eight is run solely by young couple Joshua and Chloe who have many years experience working around the Cornish coast.
A dining experience at Rusty Pig is like none other. There’s no standard menu, but all ingredients are seasonal, locally sourced and fabulously fresh. Your chef will be happy to explain the provenance of ingredients.
Downstairs is sociable, communal dining and noisy interaction with the chefs in our open kitchen. Perch at the bar for a sassy craft gin, a glass of sparkling Rusty Pig fizz, a pint of real ale or Westcountry cider.
Upstairs dining offers individual tables for dinner guests. You can book out the whole room out if you fancy a party.
Our alfresco dining area offers views over the rooftops to Ottery’s famous church. On a warm summer evening this is the perfect place to sit and sip one of front of house manager Agata’s funky cocktails.

Our menus are always changing and you will find dishes with influences from all over the world. The Ranch Cafe & Deli opened in July 2020. We are a family run business situated at Southfork Caravan Park in Somerset. We offer breakfast, lunch time meals, mid-week evening roasts & themed Saturday night meals. We also have our Deli which is stocked with homemade cakes & tray bakes, local cheeses and meats, homemade pastries and local preserves/honey. We also offer a range of hot and cold drinks. All of our products are eat in or takeaway.
