The farm shop is a big part of the farm where as well as our own beef, we sell seasonal vegetables grown on the farm and other locally grown fruit and vegetables. We pride ourselves that vegetables travel only yards not miles to be in our Farm Shop! We also sell local pork from which we make our own sausages and cure our own bacon. We sell local lamb that has been grazed at Higher Trenowin during the year. The eggs are from our small flock of free range hens which you can see in the field in front of the Farm Shop and are also in the cakes and biscuits that Bridgette bakes and sells in the shop. Jams and preserves made by Brigette are available on the shelves along with local honey.
Browse through our farm shop packed full of local goodies, pickles, jams, honey, cheeses, fudge, free range eggs and clotted cream from our local dairy. Country wines, Cornish beer and good old Scrumpy! Along with a beautiful display of crafts and gifts.
Hilltop Farm Shop and Cafe offer local Cornish produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, and have a licensed cafe/restaurant on the premises. They also supply Welcome Hampers to self-catering accommodation providers.

Pengelly's have a long tradition of sourcing and serving the finest Cornish fish available anywhere in the UK.
For almost half a century Pengelly's of Looe have been supplying local people and the finest Cornish restaurants with the freshest selection of fish and shellfish from the day-boat fleet of Looe and Polperro. Our fish comes from sustainable stocks, fished using traditional methods in harmony with the environment. Most of our fish is line-caught in small numbers, and our net-caught fish are captured using small, non-destructive, netting techniques. This not only means that the fish is of the highest standard, and doesn't spend hours getting crushed in cramped netting, but that the Cornish stocks are never over-depleted allowing new generations of fish and shellfish to maintain the numbers and health of south-west fisheries.

Ready meals get a really bad rap these days - commonly used as a short-hand for all that's wrong with the way we eat today, and responsible for everything from the obesity crisis to kids' inability to cook.
"Not so!" we say. Not all ready meals are equal, and done properly they can be a really good thing - tasty, nutritious, time-saving, and a veritable life-saver for anyone lacking the skills or energy to cook from scratch.
Chef on Board's single aim has been to provide ready meals that have all the flavour, quality and comfort of really good home-cooked food.
To do this, we cook everything by hand, in small one-pot batches, using only natural ingredients, and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Then we fast-freeze the meals, which locks in the freshness and flavour. This is our recipe for ready meals that are delicious, nutritious and good to eat.
Chef on Board was founded in 1999. The business started in Herefordshire. The business began by delivering a few prepared meals to a local village shop and, after a short time, supplied a few more shops in the area. A year later the online business started and began delivering a range of ready meals to shops and homes all over the country. In May 2021 Chef On Board relocated to Cornwall and continues to make great handmade meals.
