Jon Thorner's began with one simple idea: to offer good food, locally sourced. Starting in 1976, Jon Thorner's was one of the region's very first farm shops and specialised in providing locally reared meat. In this time the business has grown from a single farm shop, to a franchise of butchery counters, a large range of hand made foods, supplying local produce wholesale and running a cafe. But one thing which has remained consistent throughout the years is the quality of our products and where we source them from. We have always focused on supporting local suppliers; Jon has developed an excellent reputation and is respected for his attitude towards local sourcing. We champion the best Somerset has to offer, all under one roof.

Hello from owners Ben & Sally Sullivan. After ten years of working in an office and dreaming of starting our own food business, a shop in Exminster came up for sale and we thought we would take the plunge. The Ginger Cat Deli was born on 1st July 2015!
Our passion is home baking. From pasties, pies and sausage rolls to our famous scotch eggs, cakes and traybakes – the list goes on and we are increasing our range all the time.
We have built a shop filled with beautiful and interesting goodies with our focus being Westcountry producers and suppliers. We also sell everyday essentials and use this excellent produce in our homemade food – free range eggs from Exe Valley Eggs (Tiverton), bread delivered fresh each morning from Ryders Bakery (Kenn), sausages from W.F. Chinns Butchers (Crediton), sausagemeat from Powderham Farm Shop (Kenton) and Longhorn beef from our very own Exminster.
We also offer corporate and private catering ranging from sandwich platters to whole pies and cakes. Please visit our website for more information.
