Marion Symonds opened her first bakery shop in the small coastal village of Portreath in 1988 and now has four shops, a wholesale business supplying to independent local retailers in Cornwall and wholesalers throughout the UK (and beyond), as well as a large bakery located in Pool near Redruth. Marion is passionate about offering high quality bakery products made from locally sourced ingredients, wherever possible.

Manufacturers of traditional handmade pasties (meat, vegetarian and vegan); bread – sourdough, white, wholemeal, multiseed, french sticks, focaccia and other speciality breads and rolls; whole and individual cakes including saffron buns, heavy cake, scones, teacakes, sponge cakes, traybakes, morning goods (danish pastries, pain au chocolat), donuts, brownies, bakewell slices and much more; celebration cakes
Made Marion Gluten Free – SALSA & Coeliac Society approved site. Manufacturers of traditional handmade pasties, (meat, vegetarian and vegan); pies and quiches, sausage rolls and bacon bites; bread, rolls, pizza bases; whole and individual cakes including scones, teacakes, spongecakes, muffins, lemon drizzle, chocolate eclairs.
All of our bread and rolls (Portreath Bakery & Made Marion Gluten Free) are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, as are many of our delicious cakes and pastries!
