White Row Farm Shop, Fishmongers and Butchers sells as much local produce as possible, including pork from our pigs, eggs from our chickens, and vegetables from our fields. We also keenly support other farmers and producers in our local area. Fresh fish is available from the Scallop Shell Fishmongers; the Scallop Shell Fish and Chip Shop offers top quality fresh fish fried to order; and the Scallop Shell Cookery School is run by chef and fishmonger Garry Rosser. The White Row Butchery is run by Jon Thorners and we offer an excellent range of all meats. The deli counter offers a wide selection of cheeses, cooked meats, pates, sweet and savoury bakery, plus pastries and delicious homemade tarts. The White Row Bakery is supplied by the wonderful Hobbs House Bakery. Our selection of products is constantly growing and we strive to find new and exciting products for our customers. We are proud to supply local produce, especially those which the West Country is famous for, such as our excellent selection of locally produced cider and ice-cream.
We are a family run business producing traditional farmhouse cider and farm pressed apple juice, with locally harvested Somerset apples. The cider farm is a traditional working farm where you can visit and sample all our ciders before you buy. We also have a seventy seat restaurant that serves fresh, locally produced, home cooked food daily, and also caters for vegetarian and food allergies.

Sheppy’s Cider has been at Bradford-on-Tone since the family moved here in 1917, and the name and location have been a fixed point in the lives of local people and holiday makers ever since. Over the years we have welcomed thousands of visitors to our shop, tea room and museum.
Although we focus primarily on perfecting our cider, we know that it’s just as important to make sure that people can visit the very place that we produce the cider from. It helps connects our cider and our traditions to our customers.
We ferment our ciders using the naturally occurring wild yeast from the apples. We then mature some of them in oak vats, many of which have been in the family for almost 100 years. David Sheppy, our Master of Cider, has developed his skills over a lifetime blending dessert apples with cider varieties to give Sheppy's its distinctive, high quality taste.
In recent times we have created brand new production facilities, freeing our lovely old brick buildings for development. In April we opened the doors to Sheppy’s House of Cider- a bigger shop, café, bar, restaurant, and much more. We will also have a venue inside an old cider vat which will play host to one of our many tours.
Rumwell Farm Shop is an independent, family-run, award-winning business owned by the Mitchell family. It is situated on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton. It was originally a potato store, where David and Anne Mitchell began selling their potatoes and free range eggs at the gate.
Due to customer demand, the range of products soon increased and the farm shop grew into the place it is today. David and Anne’s sons, James and Jack, are now also involved in the business, as well as daughters-in-law Sophie and Donna.
The shop has a traditional butchery counter selling free range pork and Aberdeen Angus beef reared just four miles away on the family farm. There is also a delicatessen, bakery, jam kitchen, food hall, wine cellar and gift room.
The jam kitchen produces a range of 50 products including jams, chutneys and marmalades all made using fruit and vegetables from the shop.
Home grown potatoes are also still available, when in season, as well as everything from fruit, vegetables and groceries to plants, flowers, gifts and cards.

Teals is a new destination on the A303 - a fantastic place to eat, shop and discover local food and drink in Somerset. The food market is part deli, part health store, part snackstop and offers as much local as possible - you’ll find everything here from cupboard staples (where you can refill your own containers with inexpensive oats, mueslis, car snacks, nuts and rices) to an array of jams and local honeys, delicious granolas and Somerset cereals. There are oils, sauces and rubs; pasta, flour and eggs; juices and cordials and plenty of choice for vegans. You'll also find tasty and seasonal fresh produce, a deli counter offering local cheeses, pastries and salads, a butcher's counter and a bottle store.
The restaurant is light, airy and relaxed, with views out over the apple orchard and across the courtyard. Talented and creative cooks have free reign to work with the seasons, developing food that connects to the region and satisfies more than just your appetite. They work closely with the butchery and food market, making the most of what comes through their doors. There are takeaway options available too, with freshly made sandwiches, soups and salads from the deli counter, as well as a great selection of cakes and proper Barista made coffee.
