The Story Pig

The Story Pig is located in the beautiful rolling hills of Dorset just outside the ancient market town of Sherborne. We’re passionate about Tamworths, their welfare, happiness and indeed their very existence. Tamworth Pigs are the oldest pure breed of native pig in the British Isles and have a distinctive appearance due to their beautiful red-haired coats. Tamworths are most at home living outside all year round being raised on large areas of pasture, where they can root around for all manner of tasty morsels. our pigs are bred to the highest of welfare standards in order to produce the most delicious pork with a distinctive taste. In the winter time (from the end of October to March) we move inside and are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am until 2.30pm. We cook a Breakfast BBQ in the morning until midday, and serve homemade pizzas after that. We have pizza evenings every Friday, 5-8 pm, making homemade pizzas using our own produce to eat here or take away. We also sell our own charcuterie in our shop, as well as a range of soaps, balms and candles made with our own pig fat and lavender.
