Highly Experienced Head of Sales UK joins Salcombe Distilling Co 

 

The rapidly growing Salcombe Distilling Co. has recruited James Le Grys as Head of Sales UK for Salcombe Gin. A dynamic and passionate individual, James brings almost two decades of sales experience and industry knowledge to this thriving business. James started his career in New Zealand working with his family winery, Mud House Wines, where he developed a passion for luxury brands. He has since worked for a number of leading brands in the BWS industry, gaining experience in the production, sales and marketing of premium drinks.

The former off-trade manager at Chase Distillery, James has built successful relationships with key businesses including Tesco, Waitrose, Matthew Clark, The Radisson Hotel Group, Amazon, Dufry and Cunard. His previous roles have seen him working in the on and off trade, travel retail and positions covering sales, marketing and production. With a proven background in increasing product market share, developing both new and existing market-leading brands, driving sales and growing profitable business, James has developed and managed multi-million pound P&Ls. 

 

James is also joined by Ellen McNabb as Sales Manager and Brand Ambassador for Southern England and the South Coast. Ellen joins Salcombe Gin from Majestic Wine London, where, as Tastings Manager she won the award for the most named mentions by customers. Ellen has also recently worked as a Brand Ambassador for Botter Wine, Italy and Swig Wines in London. The team is further complemented by Richard Maxted and Mathias Granberg as London Brand Ambassadors and Tom Litten who remains responsible for sales in the South West.
