Sandroyd is a wonderfully unique family school, set in an idyllic environment, that ‘prepares’ children in the very broadest sense – offering academic excellence, and so much more. At Sandroyd we are committed to ensuring that all aspects of food and nutrition promote the health and wellbeing of pupils, staff and visitors. Our food is cooked on site by our highly trained chef, Rob Doble, and his team.
As nearly all the food is made on the premises, we are able to keep a close eye on salt and sugar intake. Our food is hydrogenated fat free.
Sandroyd has been awarded a gold award from Taste of the West for its high standard of food provision and the use of local food suppliers. The majority of our meat is provided by a renowned local butcher, Julian Else, who sources all his meat. Fish is delivered from a local company. All our eggs are free range from a local supplier, Roy Jeans. Fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered to the school each day. We are proud to be awarded 5 stars from the Food Standards Agency for food hygiene.
