Old Bakehouse Lane, Chapel Street, Penzance, TR18 4AE
Located in the most historic part of Penzance, tucked away in our own secluded palm tree and fairy light filled courtyard. Set on two floors, each with its own atmosphere we pride ourselves in having a modern, contemporary yet warm and inviting atmosphere.
The Bakehouse has been a well established restaurant in the local community for the past 13 years, and we will try our utmost to keep it that way for locals and visitors for many years to come. We take pride in using local ingredients and produce, including Thornes fruit & veg, which is just up the road from us, Matthew Stevens fish in Newlyn and Trevarthens Cornish butchers.
The oldest and only traditional pub in St Mawes, The Victory Inn provides great quality food at a good price. All the food is made in house, with everything being sourced locally where possible. The drinks selection is varied, with local spirits, wine, lager and ale available. All the ales are Cask Marque accredited. We are family and dog friendly, even providing dog treats (and water) for your four legged friends! The restaurant upstairs can cater for up to 40 people, so it's great for private events and joins on to the terrace, perfect for boat watching.
Over the last 30 years we have been sourcing and using produce from across the South West of England. The abundance and quality of produce we have here on our door step makes us think how spoilt we are to be surrounded by so many passionate food producers. Our ethos of local, sustainable and quality shines through in all our dishes. The exciting, ever changing menus we produce demonstrate our knowledge, passion and commitment to this industry.
Opened in 2005, The Udder Farm Shop was the brainchild of Jane and Brian Down when they saw a lack of opportunity for buying local produce and few places for the local community to meet. Built from the ground up to their own specifications there is now a restaurant, deli, shop and butchery. All the beef or pork for sale in the farm shop or cooked in the restaurant is raised on Jane and Brian's own farm next door, or bought in from the local village. In fact, all the meats and products are sourced from the local area where feasible whether pork, biscuits, tea or paintings!

With flagstoned locals bar, and a comfortable relaxed lounge bar, well kept beers, super food and a genuine fresh feeling of individuality, this is an outstanding pub which at first glance looks traditional but shows great attention to today's ideas about food and style. The enthusiastic and personable young team manages to keep a smashing, relaxed and proper pubby atmosphere while offering great service.
