A warm welcome, impressive food, amazing hand pumped ales and a collection of vintage wines await you at The Rising Sun.
The Rising Sun is now owned by Linda Palk, who together with her daughter Amanda work tirelessly with their team to offer a warm and welcoming pub with an understated, contemporary edge. There’s an informal bar, known by the locals as ‘the riser’, a piano room, snug and high in the rafters, a dining room with views that unfurl to Exmoor. We believe we have a truly unique setting to enjoy our locally sourced food, beers and wines. Our signature ‘steak-on-the-stone’ with gourmet salts and a peppercorn sauce never fails to ‘wow’ diners and is an amazing spectacle as well as a fantastic plate of food.
With its exposed beams, cosy benches and big oak barrels, our place on Poole Quay is one of our favourites. It’s just at the start of the High Street, right by the water. Grab a seat in the sun by the window and enjoy the view, or watch our chefs working in unison upstairs in the open kitchen. See you at the bar!
We’ve got plenty of space for parties, weddings and events, big or small; contact us to discuss your requirements – we’d love to host you! We love our live music here and always got something coming up, follow us on Facebook for our next gig.
