Opened in 2005, The Udder Farm Shop was the brainchild of Jane and Brian Down when they saw a lack of opportunity for buying local produce and few places for the local community to meet. Built from the ground up to their own specifications there is now a restaurant, deli, shop and butchery. All the beef or pork for sale in the farm shop or cooked in the restaurant is raised on Jane and Brian's own farm next door, or bought in from the local village. In fact, all the meats and products are sourced from the local area where feasible whether pork, biscuits, tea or paintings!
Browse through our farm shop packed full of local goodies, pickles, jams, honey, cheeses, fudge, free range eggs and clotted cream from our local dairy. Country wines, Cornish beer and good old Scrumpy! Along with a beautiful display of crafts and gifts.

Welcome to La Petite Bouchée, our four-seater restaurant housed in the back of our 1971 Citroen HY Camper Van. 95% of our suppliers are within the West Country. Our aim is to source suppliers within a 25 mile radius and so far we have been successful with our meat, eggs, cheese and ambient products. Only our wine merchant remains in London, supplying us with quality wines from very small, organic and biodynamic vineyards in France.
Eating in The Riverford Field Kitchen is something to remember. We think great food tastes even better when you enjoy it with other people, so you will share your table with fellow diners for a feast of the freshest seasonal produce from our fields. Uniquely, there is just one sitting and the whole restaurant is served together at the same time. Seasonal sample menus for lunch and supper are available on the website. We are fully licensed and have a selection of organic wine, local juices, beers and cider, as well as some spirits. Why not enhance your visit by seeing what we grow? Guided tours complete with tractor-trailer rides can be booked April to October on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Alternatively, you can roam the fields yourself, free of charge with one of our easy-to-read maps and MP3 player with audio from Guy Watson. We even have wellies if you need them!
Pythouse Kitchen Garden is an enchanting 18th Century walled garden, restaurant, bar and venue set in the stunning landscape of South Wiltshire. At PKG we are driven by the delightful way the seasons can play on our senses. Whether you are savouring homegrown produce in the restaurant, celebrating warm summer nights under canvas or letting your imagination run wild in the garden, we hope you'll agree, there's no corner of England quite like this one.
Each new season brings a unique atmosphere in the garden and a different menu to the table. We specialise in outdoor cooking over fire. This method of cooking is a pure, simple and healthy way to enjoy our homegrown fruit and veg and wonderful locally reared produce. The flavours of fire and the company of friends are celebrated all year round. Regular events include our Pytfire Barbecue Supper, Classical Music by Candlelight and our Open Mic night which unearths and shines a warm light on some superb local talent.
During the Covid-19 closure period, we are now offering three-course suppers, fresh groceries including fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat and fish, food for the freezer and great wine. We’ve got it all! Available for next-day delivery or pick-up from the garden. Check out our online shop for more details.
