Clavell's Cafe and restaurant is situated in the picturesque village of Kimmeridge on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset one mile inland from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Most of our food is made on the premises and prepared to order using fresh local products wherever possible. The lamb, pork and beef all come direct from our farm to our cutting room where they are prepared for our requirements. The venison comes from the Dorset Game Larder near Blandford, and some of the fish comes from our fisherman Nick Ford in Kimmeridge. The cafe is also available for private functions and we can also cater for outside functions from dinner parties to weddings, please enquire for prices and menus.
Our ethos is tasty, affordable and honest cooking, using the freshest ingredients. Cantina Kitchen and Bar is a family run business conveniently located next to one of the most beautiful dog friendly beaches in Torbay. We’ve lived in Paignton for many years and we love it. We thought it was high time Paignton had a chilled-out place for people to relax, unwind and experience great food in a lovely atmosphere!
We are extremely family friendly with lots of games to keep both big and little kids entertained.
Opened in 2005, The Udder Farm Shop was the brainchild of Jane and Brian Down when they saw a lack of opportunity for buying local produce and few places for the local community to meet. Built from the ground up to their own specifications there is now a restaurant, deli, shop and butchery. All the beef or pork for sale in the farm shop or cooked in the restaurant is raised on Jane and Brian's own farm next door, or bought in from the local village. In fact, all the meats and products are sourced from the local area where feasible whether pork, biscuits, tea or paintings!
Set in the island’s old sail loft on the fringe of the village, in proximity to the ticket office, that looks out over our ancient harbour. The Sail Loft, with the influence of head chef and avid forager, Gregory Milne, has embraced the local, seasonal and sustainable ethos of St Michael’s Mount’s food and beverage offerings. The Sail Loft serves a wide selection of light lunches, home-made breads and cakes, as well as daily specials, using the best local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Enjoy tucking into a dish of fresh, locally landed fish, seasoned with herbs from our very own Kitchen Garden. Or treat yourself to our Cornish sharing platter and enjoy a variety of produce that our area has to offer, from home baked ham, local cheese, mackeral pate, homemade chutney, salad and crusty bread.
And how could we forget – Cream Teas! It is not a proper visit to Cornwall without sampling the county’s delicacies. Our scones are baked fresh every day and are served with delicious clotted cream and locally made soft-set strawberry jam.
