Situated less than 50 yards from the coastal path and surrounded by National Trust farmland, our fantastic new farm shop and cafe offers a wide range of our own produce along with a great variety of Cornish produce, all sourced as locally as possible. We supply everything from home reared award winning beef, lamb and pork to homemade pies and cakes, as well as charcuterie, milk, local cheese, eggs, juice, chutneys, jams and other local products. Both the farm shop and the cafe won Gold in the 2016 Taste of the West Awards and the Cafe won Best South West Cafe/Tea Room 2016.
The farm shop is a big part of the farm where as well as our own beef, we sell seasonal vegetables grown on the farm and other locally grown fruit and vegetables. We pride ourselves that vegetables travel only yards not miles to be in our Farm Shop! We also sell local pork from which we make our own sausages and cure our own bacon. We sell local lamb that has been grazed at Higher Trenowin during the year. The eggs are from our small flock of free range hens which you can see in the field in front of the Farm Shop and are also in the cakes and biscuits that Bridgette bakes and sells in the shop. Jams and preserves made by Brigette are available on the shelves along with local honey.
Jon Thorner's began with one simple idea: to offer good food, locally sourced. Starting in 1976, Jon Thorner's was one of the region's very first farm shops and specialised in providing locally reared meat. In this time the business has grown from a single farm shop, to a franchise of butchery counters, a large range of hand made foods, supplying local produce wholesale and running a cafe. But one thing which has remained consistent throughout the years is the quality of our products and where we source them from. We have always focused on supporting local suppliers; Jon has developed an excellent reputation and is respected for his attitude towards local sourcing. We champion the best Somerset has to offer, all under one roof.

Opened in 2005, The Udder Farm Shop was the brainchild of Jane and Brian Down when they saw a lack of opportunity for buying local produce and few places for the local community to meet. Built from the ground up to their own specifications there is now a restaurant, deli, shop and butchery. All the beef or pork for sale in the farm shop or cooked in the restaurant is raised on Jane and Brian's own farm next door, or bought in from the local village. In fact, all the meats and products are sourced from the local area where feasible whether pork, biscuits, tea or paintings!
