Tea on the Green uses 100% free-range, locally produced meats and eggs, sources most fresh produce locally, uses cheeses only from Devon and Cornwall, and uses a tea blender and coffee roaster in North Somerset. Beer, lager, and cider is from Devon and Cornwall, and even some wines are produced right here in Exeter! Tea on the Green has a strong ethos of high quality service, good value for money, unpretentiousness and serving West Country products.

The Terrace is a licensed café with a superb reputation for food and drink using seasonal and locally sourced produce in a releaxed atmosphere with searting on rooftop terrace and in a light, airy interior alongside the River Bovey.

Our staff are passionate about making Trengwainton Tearooms a special place and their creativity in cooking ensures that when you visit us you'll discover a wide variety of mouthwatering homemade food. From cakes and scones to our extensive lunch menu you'll find a large choice of tasty treats including; freshly prepared sandwiches, oven baked jacket potatoes, toasted sandwiches and locally baked paninis, with a wide selection of different fillings. Along with our set menu there are soups and a range of 'specials' all created to order in our kitchen. We are part of the National Trust's Trengwainton Gardens but we are set outside the admission gate and can be visited independently to the garden.
