Michael Thomas is a Master Butcher who has been making sausages since his days as a Saturday boy, some 40 years ago! Over those years he has developed an understanding for the quality ingredients, the cuts of pork and fresh herbs and spices, that are required to create tasty award winning sausages. Michael's wife, Sandra Darling, is an experienced cook, with a flare for flavours. Working together for over 10 years they have experimented and created some classic and innovative sausages culminating in their developing 'The Malmesbury King' from their small butcher/deli shop in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
All sausages from The King Sausage Company are made fresh daily and packed in sealed trays. The King Sausage Company sausages are available to buy online.

Pythouse Kitchen Garden is an enchanting 18th Century walled garden, restaurant, bar and venue set in the stunning landscape of South Wiltshire. Whether you are savouring homegrown produce in the restaurant, celebrating warm summer nights under canvas or letting your imagination run wild in the garden, we hope you'll agree, there's no corner of England quite like this one.
Each new season brings a unique atmosphere in the garden and a different menu to the table. We specialise in outdoor cooking over fire. This method of cooking is a pure, simple and healthy way to enjoy our homegrown fruit and veg and wonderful locally reared produce. The flavours of fire and the company of friends are celebrated all year round. Regular events include our Pytfire Barbecue Supper, Classical Music by Candlelight and our Open Mic night which unearths and shines a warm light on some superb local talent.
During the Covid-19 closure period, we are now offering three-course suppers, fresh groceries including fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat and fish, food for the freezer and great wine. We’ve got it all! Available for next-day delivery or pick-up from the garden. Check out our online shop for more details.
We beleive that a pub is place for everyone. The Wheatsheaf is a recently rejuventated thatched pub that sits in a peaceful village serving "upmarket peasant food" and wood fired pizzas - which means it's unpretentious, passionate, exciting, affordable and offers loads of flavour.
Ollie’s parents have a farm 3 miles away growing some of the best produce around. Organic fruit and vegetables, wild herbs and flowers, the best sausages, hand made charcuterie, rare breed pork, wild honey bees, grass fed lamb that graze all year round - our heroes!
We are passionate about organic food. Not only is it better for the world, but it tastes so good! We provide you this without the extra buck that you might expect. Organic local flour for pizza, organic chips, organic sugar and cream for ice cream, organic wine, organic local beef... tea, coffee, chocolate... we love it all!
On top of this, we have a Vintage Shop, Live Music Nights, Sawdays Award, SRA 3 Star for Sustainability and an Art Gallery. A pub is a place for everyone.
See you soon! Lauren and Ollie
