Walter Rose & Son was established in 1847 and is owned by Stephen Cook. The business comprises of a high quality retail butchers, delicatessen and catering butchers. We work very closely with our local farmers and suppliers to ensure that we supply the highest quality produce to our many customers.

Each new season brings a unique atmosphere in the garden and a different menu to the table. We specialise in outdoor cooking over fire. This method of cooking is a pure, simple and healthy way to enjoy our homegrown fruit and veg and wonderful locally reared produce. The flavours of fire and the company of friends are celebrated all year round. Regular events include our Pytfire Barbecue Supper, Classical Music by Candlelight and our Open Mic night which unearths and shines a warm light on some superb local talent.
During the Covid-19 closure period, we are now offering three-course suppers, fresh groceries including fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat and fish, food for the freezer and great wine. We’ve got it all! Established in 2015, Toby Haynes Family Butchers is a family run butchers shop based in Corsham and is one of the regions finest purveyors of quality fresh meats and pies.
Toby himself heads up the team, with wife Ali working hard keeping things in order behind the scenes. With over 14 years experience in the industry, Toby originally trained as a chef in catering college. As a third generation farmer, his interest in butchery was initially to give himself additional skills and to enhance his knowledge for becoming a Chef. This quickly grew into a real interest and passion for the trade and he soon re-trained as a skilled butcher near the family farm in Highworth. Taking his apprenticeship in a local butchers, Toby forged himself a career with his goal being to own his own business one day.
