Established in 1978, Lavenders deli bakery has developed from an interest in high quality food. With a particular interest in cheese and cooked meats and all things Cornish from Pastie to pastries and so much more. The deli bakery and cafe all began with the idea that you could offer a wide range of products from cooked meats, local and foreign cheeses, freshly cooked pasties, pastries and cakes in a cafe setting where customers could enjoy the variety of delights on offer and thus Lavenders deli bakery was born. We also sell our delicious produce to the trade, and can deliver too.

Marion Symonds opened her first bakery shop in the small coastal village of Portreath in 1988 and now has four shops, a wholesale business supplying to independent local retailers in Cornwall and wholesalers throughout the UK (and beyond), as well as a large bakery located in Pool near Redruth. Marion is passionate about offering high quality bakery products made from locally sourced ingredients, wherever possible.

Thunderflower gin was launched in 2018 and is distilled in-house at Thunderflower Distillery in Teignmouth. Lovingly crafted in small-batches our gin is a wonderfully smooth true London Dry with a complex flavour profile.
Thunderflower Gin is made in a traditional ‘one-shot’ pot-still distillation run, with botanical flavours extracted by vapour infusion only. Only the best cut makes it to the bottle with nothing added to the final spirit except distilled spring water. The Gin is allowed to ‘polish’ for a week to maximise the flavour before being filtered and bottled.
The result is a unique Dry Gin that finds juniper in balance with spice and earth notes of our botanical selection, with a 42% ABV.
Thunderflower Granola is handmade in small batches from our kitchen in Devon using our family recipe. It's great for breakfast with just a splash of milk, or add some fresh fruit or organic yoghurt for the perfect start to your day. Made with ethically sourced ingredients and organic oats our Granola has no artificial anything, just a delicious blend of toasted oats, nuts, seeds and dried fruit with a splash of maple syrup.
The world doesn't need more thoughtless packaging, so our Granola packaging is simple and 100% compostable - both bag and label. Just remove the tin tie from the bag and dispose of with your food waste. Easy!
We are a family run business based on our West Devon Farm, using local free range eggs and carefully selected ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. Our farmhouse bakehouse supplies village shops, convenience stores, garden centres and garages with traditional products, reminiscent of the past.
