A long held dream of our founder, Mark Bury, Eversfield began its story in 2002. Mark and his family spent two years planting over 30,000 trees and hundreds of miles of hedgerows, nurturing the land back to life before it was certified organic by the Soil Association in 2004.
Raising our own organic, grass-fed beef and lamb, we also work with a group of trusted organic farmers and small-batch producers to bring a taste of the south west to kitchens across the UK.

Curtis Pitts Deer Services was recently established in 2016. Since then the business has grown organically from a small start up whilst Curtis was studying for his degree in Land Management at University. Having finished his degree it is now a thriving and successful business. Curtis has grown up with a passion and interest in the management of deer instilled through the generations from his grandfather to his father and has now taken the family tradition of managing deer to the next level. Curtis not only manages deer on parkland and wild estates but also supplies his quality venison and game to local butcheries and restaurants in Devon. At R.D. Johns we are proud of our dry hung 21 day matured West Country Premier Beef range, reared on the family farm Dunterton Farm in the Teign estuary. To us the well-being and husbandry of the animal is paramount, enhancing the taste and quality. We also produce our own Regency Fresh pork sausages. We use a family recipe and quality assured pork.
We work closely with our local farmers enabling us to be at the forefront of a supply chain of true west country provenance and are proud to know where all our meat has been raised, slaughtered, and processed.
Veyseys butchers of Cullompton has been selling quality local meats for over 100 years. We are experienced butchers with a wealth of knowledge in our trade and a passion for food.
Our meat comes from the Rural farmlands of the west country, we pride ourselves on locally reared livestock grass fed and where possible organically farmed. We source all Beef, Pork, Lamb, and Game within a 20-mile radius of our premises in Cullompton Devon Therefore, this makes up for 90% of our meat and game stock that is sold over our counter. Sourced this way, means we maintain the highest efficiency and expected standard. This also saves the carbon footprint. Livestock is taken by the farmer to our local slaughter house. All carcasses are butchered on site, enabling best cuts with minimum waste.
We know the farmers personally and have a great working relationship with them all. We work very closely with our suppliers to ensure both customers and ourselves are satisfied with the end result. Because we have worked with our suppliers for over 50 years they know the exact quality we expect, our likes and dislikes. All of our meats can be traced from farm gate to dinner plate.
