Opened in 2005, The Udder Farm Shop was the brainchild of Jane and Brian Down when they saw a lack of opportunity for buying local produce and few places for the local community to meet. Built from the ground up to their own specifications there is now a restaurant, deli, shop and butchery. All the beef or pork for sale in the farm shop or cooked in the restaurant is raised on Jane and Brian's own farm next door, or bought in from the local village. In fact, all the meats and products are sourced from the local area where feasible whether pork, biscuits, tea or paintings!
Hilltop Farm Shop and Cafe offer local Cornish produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, and have a licensed cafe/restaurant on the premises. They also supply Welcome Hampers to self-catering accommodation providers.

This Autumn we were delighted to be able to open our café following a successful takeaway service during lockdown. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, delicious cakes and coffee, and everything in-between. Our award-winning chef has come from a very prestigious Devon restaurant, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to develop and lead our farm shop café. His ethics are matched with ours; believing in serving local, seasonal, fresh produce to the best of our ability. Our products cross over, so if you like it in the cafe it will be available in the shop. With ethics, welfare, local and seasonal produce in mind, our menu changes with the seasons, so please do come in and see what delights we have available. With ethics, welfare, local and seasonal produce in mind, the café matches the ethics of the farm shop, with all of our meat, if not our own, coming from other local farms and is at a minimum free range and can be traced back to each farm, our organic eggs come from our own farm, our coffee is roasted in Willand, and our seasonal veg comes from as close as possible, as often as possible. Watch our social media channels and website for news of upcoming events including special Fordmore Dining Club nights, with delicious 4-course meals and wine flights available, daily specials and more. We look forward to welcoming you to the café to enjoy some of our delicious local food! Don't forget to pick up a loyalty card too!
Rumwell Farm Shop is an independent, family-run, award-winning business owned by the Mitchell family. It is situated on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton. It was originally a potato store, where David and Anne Mitchell began selling their potatoes and free range eggs at the gate.
Due to customer demand, the range of products soon increased and the farm shop grew into the place it is today. David and Anne’s sons, James and Jack, are now also involved in the business, as well as daughters-in-law Sophie and Donna.
The shop has a traditional butchery counter selling free range pork and Aberdeen Angus beef reared just four miles away on the family farm. There is also a delicatessen, bakery, jam kitchen, food hall, wine cellar and gift room.
The jam kitchen produces a range of 50 products including jams, chutneys and marmalades all made using fruit and vegetables from the shop.
Home grown potatoes are also still available, when in season, as well as everything from fruit, vegetables and groceries to plants, flowers, gifts and cards.
Come and see for yourself – we look forward to serving you!

There is an old farming saying, “Look after your cows and your cows will look after you.”
It goes to the heart of what happens here at Park Farm. We take a traditional approach both to how we raise and graze our small herd of 160 mainly Holstein Friesian cows and to our artisan, handmade, hands-on cheesemaking.
We are entirely organic and are registered with Organic Farmers and Growers – so that means no fungicides, pesticides or artificial fertilisers are used on our land. Instead we use manure and organic compost: the environment, the land and the waterways remain uncontaminated. Our milk and cheese is produced in a way that protects our natural world and lets every farm animal feel the sun on its back.
Of course, we do not avoid technology if it will contribute to our animals’ welfare or will improve the quality of our cheese. We have a brand new milking parlour that allows our cows to produce one million litres of milk per year. Around 60% of this is turned into cheese in our state-of-the-art cheese facility, while the rest goes to another cheesemaker who uses it to make organic cheddar or to another producer who makes our delicious ice-cream.
If you are interested in visiting us, you can pop along to our café for a toastie or to buy some cheese.
