The Taste of the West Awards programme has been promoting and supporting the South West food and drink industry for over 25 years. It has grown to become the most prestigious food and drink awards programme in the South West - don't miss out on your chance to be part of it.
Product Awards 2019
Our highly regarded Awards programme provides an opportunity to gain recognition for your products. A Taste of the West Award is an excellent marketing tool, helping to convey the quality and values of your business to potential customers. Much interest is generated among both buyers and consumers. The Taste of the West Awards programme enjoys significant media coverage in both the trade and consumer sectors thanks to an extensive, multi-media PR campaign. Judging is split into three rounds to determine gold, silver and commended awards. There will be three seperate entry and closing dates.
ENTRY IS NOW OPEN FOR ROUND 3 OF PRODUCT JUDGING! THIS IS THE LAST OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER THE AWARDS IN 2019.
Each product submission will be £42 + VAT for producer members, and £45 + VAT for non-members. If you are a producer member of Taste of the West you will receive a number of free entries, and any additional products entered will be charged at these rates. This will be the final chance for products to be entered into our Awards in 2019, the closing date for Round 3 is the end of the Easter weekend!

Hospitality & Retail Awards 2018/2019
Our Hospitality Awards are open to all cafes/tea rooms, dining pubs, restaurants, casual dining establishments, local food-to-go outlets, bed & breakfasts and hotels.
Our Retail Awards are open to all specialist retailers/delicatessens, farm shops, butcher's shops, online retailers and farmers' markets.
Entries are now open for 2018/2019! Please register your interest by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are a Hospitality or Retail member of Taste of the West, you can enter one of the categories above FREE OF CHARGE. Our Hospitality & Retail Awards are also open to non-members of Taste of the West. The entry fee is £160 (plus VAT), but you can save money and receive more benefits by becoming a Taste of the West member for just £145. When you enter, you'll be visited - without notice - by one of our judges. They'll be looking out for where your products or ingredients come from, how well you communicate local sourcing to your customers, the quality of service, and assessing atmosphere, ambience and value for money at your establishment. If you're serving food and drink, they'll also be judging the quality of that too! Afterwards you'll receive an objective evaluation about their experience.
If your business wins an award we'll send you a certificate, window sticker and a digital logo. We'll also promote you as an award-winning establishment on our website. Winning an award generates great press and media coverage for your business, and most importantly it conveys the quality of your establishment to your customers.
South West Producer of the Year Award 2019
This is to be awarded to either an individual entrepreneurial and efficient producer of food and drink in the South West of England or a food and drink business as a whole. Either must illustrate an innovative approach to business development, the development of markets and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. South West Environmental Sustainability Award 2019
We are pleased to introduce for the first year the South West Environmental Sustainability Award. This new award for Taste of the West 2019 reviews your business activities over the last three years. It gives you the opportunity to gain recognition of your business’s proactive approach to protecting our environment and using resources ethically. Awards will be assessed across five marks of environmental sustainability - packaging, raw materials, waste and recycling, energy use, and water use. Download an entry form here. Taste of the West Awards Ceremony 2018
Our Awards Ceremony took place at The Great Hall of Exeter University on Thursday 13 September 2018. We welcomed over 400 guests at this stunning venue, including food and drink producers, top retailers, restaurateurs, food writers, buyers and leading chefs from across the region.
Throughout the lunch we revealled the Champions of each product, hospitality and retail category, plus winners of the coveted 2018 Supreme Champion Product Award, together with the Award for No. 1 Place to Go and, of course, our South West Producer of the Year. We also announced the winners of our Best Newcomer and Best Branding Awards.
The celebrations started at 11:30am with a drinks and canape reception in the University Forum, followed by a delicious West Country lunch where we enjoyed a wealth of this year's award-winning products. It was a fantastic networking opportunity for anyone involved in the South West's thriving food and drink industry.
