It's Official - South West is Best for Food

A major survey undertaken by Visit Britain, the official voice of the British Tourist Authority, has revealed that the food in the West Country is the main draw for visitors. 71 per cent of foreign visitors said that the fabulous produce of the South West was their main reason for choosing this area to visit. Visit Britain interviewed over 50,000 foreign visitors to the UK over a three year period for this survey.

Cornish Blue are World Champions

Long standing Cornish Taste of the West member Cornish Blue has been crowned World Champions at the 2010 World Cheese Awards; the world’s largest international cheese competition.

CHAMPIONS ANNOUNCED

Taste of the West Awards 2010

The very best regional food and drink products, producers and retail and hospitality establishments were honoured on Wednesday, 10th November at the prestigious final ceremony of the Taste of the West Awards 2010, sponsored by Musgrave Retail Partners GB.

The Champion Product award went to Witheridge Farm Shop in Devon for their Home-cured Ox Tongue.
