Food Fair on the Green – 19th July, Exeter Cathedral Green

Taste of the West celebrates 25 years supporting West Country Food & Drink

This year Taste of the West is celebrating 25 years of success and support for the South West’s food and drink industry.  As part of these celebrations we are holding a very special event on Exeter’s Cathedral Green in the heart of the city on Tuesday 19 July: Food Fair on the Green.  There will be over 60 Taste of the West GOLD award winning food and drink producers from across the West Country exhibiting, selected by us to showcase the very best in local food and drink.  There will also be live music, food to go and a carnival atmosphere throughout the whole day for everyone to enjoy – entry is completely FREE

Carol Trewin South West Producer of the Year Award 2016

The UK’s largest regional awards programme for the food and drink industry, the Taste of the West Awards, is today launching its search for the 2016 Carol Trewin South West Producer of the Year. Generously sponsored by Porter Dodson, this award is for either an individual entrepreneurial and efficient producer of food and drink in the South West of England or a food and drink business as a whole. Either must illustrate a positive approach to business development, the development of markets and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Taste of the West is Twenty Five!



Taste of the West will be celebrating 25 years of supporting the region’s food and drink industry in 2016 with a host of initiatives planned, culminating in the food group’s biggest ever Awards ceremony to take place at Exeter Cathedral at the beginning of October.

Founded in 1991, Taste of the West has grown to become the UK’s largest independent regional food group, with over 1,000 members, all passionate about the provenance and quality of the products they make, serve or sell.  Taste of the West works hard to promote and support fantastic food and drink from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. Its members include food and drink producers, hospitality establishments, specialist retailers and wholesalers.
